Job summary

Planters Bank is seeking a Loan Operations Insurance Specialist to administer hazard insurance requirements across the loan portfolio, ensuring full regulatory and investor compliance.

The role collaborates with lenders, borrowers, insurers, and vendors to mitigate risk, protect collateral, and support loan servicing and compliance across commercial, consumer, mortgage, and agricultural loans. Location may be flexible with some travel.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and banking experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in banking, loan operations, insurance administration, loan servicing, compliance, or a related field.
• Experience with commercial and consumer loan documentation preferred.
• Strong understanding of loan collateral and insurance requirements.
• Knowledge of federal banking regulations related to insurance and collateral protection.
• Ability to analyze insurance policies and determine compliance with lending requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with loan servicing systems, document imaging systems, and insurance tracking platforms preferred.

Summary

The Loan Operations Insurance Specialist is responsible for administering, monitoring, and ensuring compliance with all hazard insurance-related requirements associated with the Bank's loan portfolio. This position serves as a critical control function within the Loan Operations Department by ensuring borrower insurance coverage meets regulatory requirements, investor guidelines, and Bank policies. The Loan Operations Insurance Specialist works closely with lenders, loan assistants, borrowers, insurance providers, and third-party vendors to mitigate risk, maintain collateral protection, and support regulatory compliance across commercial, consumer, residential mortgage, and agricultural lending portfolios.

Location

The location for this position may be flexible based on where the applicant is located as well as office space availability within our Planters Bank system. This position may require some travel.
