Job summary

BMO Financial Group in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking a Customer Care Specialist to join the Transportation Finance Operations team. You will handle day-to-day lending operations tasks, including loan administration and servicing, and support payments, transactions, and service requests.

You will gather data for reports, participate in process improvements, ensure SLA adherence, and help with training and documentation.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of relevant experience or equivalent education.
• Knowledge of systems/technology used in the business area.
• Understanding of the business unit's products, processes and controls.
• Knowledge of risk and regulatory requirements.
• Prioritization skills.
• PC skills incl. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Specialized knowledge as applicable.
• Strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and formats data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
• Supports change management and execution/sustainment activities.
• Organizes work information for accuracy and completeness.
• Executes routine tasks within SLAs (service requests, transactions, queries).
• Performs administrative tasks such as filing and documentation.
• May function as a problem-solving resource for junior staff.
• Delivers accurate, timely processing of requests and activities per policies.
• Escalates issues per guidelines and resolves discrepancies.
• Data enters, reviews and verifies loan information and documentation.
• Communicates with stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
• Contributes to development/implementation of new processes/systems.
