Job summary

MortgagePros, LLC, headquartered in Troy, MI, seeks an Loan Officer Trainee to initiate contact with borrowers, build rapport, and support the origination process under licensed officers. The role includes comprehensive training, licensing support, and a clear path to a fully licensed Mortgage Loan Officer.

As part of a high-energy, performance-driven team, you will learn the sales process, complete the SAFE licensing path, and advance within the company with mentorship and ongoing development

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Gather client information to begin the loan application process.
• Support licensed Loan Officers to manage the loan pipeline.
• Prepare for and pass the SAFE MLO licensing exam (sponsored by the company).
• Maintain daily productivity and hit performance goals.

Position Summary:

The Loan Officer Trainee will play a critical role in our mortgage sales process by initiating contact with potential borrowers, building rapport, and supporting the origination process under the guidance of licensed Loan Officers. This position offers comprehensive training, licensing support, and a clear pathway to transition into a fully licensed Mortgage Loan Officer role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Make outbound and receive inbound calls to connect with prospective clients.
• Educate potential borrowers about mortgage products and services.
• Assist in gathering client information to begin the loan application process.
• Work closely with licensed Loan Officers to support the loan pipeline.
• Study for and successfully pass the SAFE MLO licensing exam (company-sponsored in 40+ states).
• Maintain daily productivity standards and meet performance goals.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Sales‑minded with a customer service approach
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, goal‑oriented environment
• No prior mortgage experience required
• Must be willing to pursue and obtain MLO licensure (support and sponsorship provided)

This is an in‑person position located at our headquarters in Troy, MI 48098. Remote work is not available for this role.
