Job description

Radiant Financial Group is a boutique mortgage lender that happens to do a lot of volume, but volume has never been the point. The point is the family signing at the closing table, the agent whose reputation rides on every deal, the community we're helping build real, lasting wealth. We're a tight, entrepreneurial team that believes in doing excellent work, educating the people we serve, and treating relationships like they matter more than the next commission check, because they do.

And here's the truth most lenders miss: the commission checks come from the caring. Our number one source of business is past clients and agent referrals - people who come back, and send everyone they know, because we refused to settle for "good enough." When you don't settle for the baseline, your people don't just return, they bring their whole world with them.

We're looking for an experienced Loan Officer Assistant to become one of the most essential people on the team. Not the most visible seat but one of the most important.

The Role

The Loan Officer Assistant is the operational backbone of every loan that moves through our pipeline. You'll work as a direct extension of our Loan Officers by managing files from application through processing, keeping timelines on track, coordinating with borrowers and vendors, and making sure everything is buttoned up before it ever reaches an underwriter's desk. This spans both our brokered and non-delegated correspondent channels.

Here's the honest truth about this job: the best LOAs make it look easy. Files move cleanly. Borrowers feel cared for. Conditions are resolved before anyone has to chase them. The closing table is calm because you made it that way, days or weeks before anyone got there. That invisible, behind-the-scenes excellence is the whole achievement. If you take real pride in that kind of work, this is your seat.

This is not an entry-level role. We're looking for someone with at least four years of mortgage operations experience, deep knowledge of broker and correspondent file requirements, and the confidence to work independently by anticipating problems before they become problems.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in the Litchfield Park area.

What You Own
Lead Intake & Conversion
  • Respond to new leads quickly, with a goal of making initial contact within five minutes
  • Gather key borrower information, build rapport, and create a strong first impression
  • Schedule consultations and prepare clear summaries so the LO is ready for every meeting
  • Track applications, follow-up, and next steps so opportunities keep moving through the front-end pipeline
Relationship & Business Development
  • Coordinate client, Realtor, referral partner, lunch, coffee, open house, and networking meetings
  • Build proactive call lists and follow-up plans so the LO knows who to contact and why
  • Maintain the Greatness Tracker and help keep weekly relationship-building activities on pace
  • Support client events, homebuyer classes, videos, and other relationship-building opportunities
CRM, Database & Client Follow-Up
  • Manage Bonzo CRM and Homebot, including pipeline stages, tasks, campaigns, and contact organization
  • Log relationship touches, set next steps, monitor overdue activity, and identify opportunities for proactive outreach
  • Coordinate handwritten notes, birthday cards, home-anniversary cards, and other personal client touches
Reporting & Weekly Accountability
  • Track lead conversion, appointments, pipeline activity, relationship activity, and Greatness Tracker completion
  • Prepare weekly accountability meetings with the key reports, priorities, and pipeline bottlenecks she needs to see

Support Loan Officers in managing active pipelines and protecting the referral relationships that drive our business.

What You Bring

Minimum 4 years of mortgage experience as a Loan Officer Assistant, Loan Partner, Processor, or similar mortgage operations role.

Strong working knowledge of residential mortgage files, timelines, and documentation requirements.

Experience in a broker and/or correspondent lending environment strongly preferred.

Fully licensed Mortgage Loan Originator preferred, or actively working toward licensing.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel

High attention to detail and genuine ownership of file quality.

Ability to manage multiple active loans and competing priorities without dropping anything.

Confident, professional communication with borrowers, agents, and internal teams.

Experience with ARIVE or a comparable LOS platform preferred.

Who You Are

This is the part that matters most to us. We can teach a lot of things. We can't teach whether you care.

You take ownership. You don't wait to be asked. You see what needs to happen, and you make it happen because the file, the borrower, and the relationship are yours to protect.

You do it right when no one's watching. Your best work happens behind the scenes. You're not chasing credit - you're chasing clean files and smooth closings, because that's who you are.

You communicate like a partner. You know that a borrower who feels informed is a borrower who trusts you and that trust becomes a referral. You stay proactive, you follow through, and you never leave anyone wondering where things stand.

You stay calm under pressure. This is a fast-moving, high-volume environment. You keep your head, your standards, and your sense of urgency without losing your sense of care.

You're detail-obsessed for the right reason. Not because you're a perfectionist, but because someone's home, money, and trust are on the line.

You're a true teammate. You wear multiple hats, fill gaps without being asked, and would rather solve the problem than assign the blame.

If you've read this far and felt something click - like we're describing how you already work - we want to hear from you.

Competitive pay plus bonus and paid time off.
