Job summary

Union Bank of VT & NH in Morristown, VT is seeking a motivated full-time Loan Officer Assistant to partner with Mortgage Loan Officers, supporting the residential mortgage process from application through closing.

The LOA ensures file quality, maintains borrower communications, manages documentation, coordinates pipelines, and provides underwriting support, closing coordination, and marketing help.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in mortgage, banking, lending, real estate, or related processing experience.
• Strong understanding of residential mortgage lending processes.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.

Responsibilities

• Support residential mortgage process from application to closing.
• Ensure file quality and accurate documentation.
• Coordinate borrower communications and milestones.
• Assist with underwriting support and closing coordination.
• Provide marketing support activities for LO team.

We Are Seeking

A motivated individual for a full-time customer Loan Officer Assistant position. This individual will serve as a strategic operational partner to Mortgage Loan Officers (MLOs), supporting the residential mortgage process from application through closing. The LOA is responsible for file quality, borrower communication, documentation management, pipeline coordination, underwriting support, milestone management, closing coordination, and marketing support activities.

Requirements
