Job summary

West Capital Lending is seeking a motivated Loan Officer to join our growing team in a hybrid/remote role focused on serving clients in California. You will manage the loan process from application through closing in a virtual environment.

The ideal candidate holds an active NMLS license, has 1+ year of experience, and demonstrates strong knowledge of mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Active Loan Originator license (NMLS) required.
• 1+ year of experience as a Loan Officer or Mortgage Loan Originator preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage products and underwriting guidelines.
• Excellent communication, sales, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Proficient with loan origination systems and digital documentation.

Responsibilities

• Originate residential mortgage loans (Conventional, FHA, VA, Non-QM).
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, real estate agents, and referral partners.
• Guide borrowers through the loan application process and provide clear communication.
• Analyze borrower financials to recommend loan products.
• Ensure loan files meet regulatory and investor requirements.
• Collaborate with processing and underwriting teams for timely closings.
• Stay updated on lending guidelines and rate changes.
