Job summary

West Capital Lending is seeking a motivated Loan Officer to join a growing remote team serving California clients. You will manage the loan process end-to-end in a virtual environment.

Originate loans (Conventional, FHA, VA, Non-QM) and build strong client relationships. Guide borrowers, analyze finances, ensure compliance, and collaborate with processing for timely closings.

Qualifications

• Active Loan Originator license required
• 1+ year as a Loan Officer or Mortgage Loan Originator
• Strong knowledge of mortgage products and underwriting guidelines
• Excellent communication, sales, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Proficient with loan origination systems and digital documentation

Responsibilities

• Originate residential mortgage loans (Conventional, FHA, VA, Non-QM)
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, agents, and referral partners
• Guide borrowers through the loan application process with clear communication
• Analyze borrower financials to recommend loan products
• Ensure loan files meet federal, state, and investor compliance requirements
• Collaborate with processing and underwriting for smooth closings
• Stay updated on guidelines, market trends, and rate changes
