Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid Loan Officer role based in Los Angeles, CA, with flexibility for some work from home. The Loan Officer will originate residential loans, assess client needs, and recommend suitable loan products aligned with their financial goals. Daily responsibilities include consulting with clients, collecting and reviewing financial documentation, coordinating with underwriters and processors, and ensuring applications meet regulatory and lender guidelines. The role involves maintaining strong relationships with real estate agents and other referral partners, preparing accurate loan estimates, and clearly explaining terms and conditions to clients. The Loan Officer will also track loan pipelines, follow up on outstanding items, and provide timely, professional customer service throughout the loan process.

Qualifications

• Experience in loan origination and working as a Loan Officer, with a strong understanding of mortgage products and lending practices.
• Solid foundation in Finance, including income analysis, debt-to-income ratios, and credit evaluation.
• Knowledge of Underwriting principles and ability to structure files that meet lender and regulatory requirements.
• Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage client expectations, and build long-term relationships.
• Familiarity with loan processing systems, mortgage-related regulations, and documentation requirements.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple files, prioritize tasks, and meet closing deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Current NMLS license and compliance with applicable state and federal lending regulations; prior experience in the Los Angeles or broader California market is a plus.
