Job summary

Carter Bankshares is seeking a Compliance professional to help ensure adherence to state and federal regulations across consumer lending operations. This role supports development, implementation, monitoring, and training to keep associates, products, services, and processes compliant with banking laws.

The position covers monitoring, reviews of marketing materials, and regulatory change management. Banking experience and knowledge of HMDA, TILA, ECOA, and related regulations will help you

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in regulatory compliance or monitoring tests is a plus.
• Balanced regulatory knowledge with practical lending experience recommended.
• Banking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Compliance Director with monitoring and testing of lending compliance.
• Serve as primary contact for lending compliance questions.
• Review marketing materials for lending compliance.
• Coordinate regulatory change management for lending regulations.
• Support annual policy reviews and risk-based monitoring.
