Job summary

ORIX USA Group in Chicago is seeking a Loan Associate to support the internal loan administrative agent team across syndicated and participated loans, including closings, settlements, and servicing, with strong attention to detail. You will interpret loan documents, collaborate with internal and external partners, manage data integrity, and help ensure timely processing and accurate portfolio accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting from a four‑year university.
• 3–5 years of experience in loan operations, servicing, fund operations, or related financial services.
• Demonstrated customer service mindset and strong relationship management.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to review and interpret legal, financial, and loan documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across departments and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with competing deadlines.
• Proficiency in Excel for data review, analysis, and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Support loan closings by coordinating funding, reviewing settlement instructions, and confirming documentation.
• Interpret complex loan agreements to establish structures and terms in settlement and portfolio systems.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to obtain and organize loan documentation.
• Assist onboarding of deal assets and maintain accurate security master data for downstream processes.
• Manage administrative agent duties, including notices, statements, amendments, and borrower communications.
• Analyze agent notices and borrower activity to ensure timely portfolio updates.
• Maintain data integrity and compliance with governing agreements and policies.
• Conduct daily cash reconciliations and investigate variances to support reporting and controls.
• Identify risks and support process improvements in servicing and settlement operations.
• Collaborate with deal teams and other partners to enable efficient loan closings and reporting.
