Job summary

First International Bank & Trust is seeking a Loan Associate to support our lending teams through every stage of the loan process in Minot, North Dakota. You will work with Loan Officers, Credit Analysts, Loan Operations, and customers to ensure accurate and timely documentation, collateral processing, funding, and servicing.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Two or more years of experience supporting Commercial, Agricultural, Consumer, or Small Business lending activities within a bank or credit union required.
• Experience preparing, processing, reviewing, or maintaining loan and collateral documentation.
• Experience coordinating loan closings, funding activities, or post-closing documentation preferred.
• Experience with LaserPro or similar loan documentation software preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and banking-related systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Commercial, Agricultural, and Consumer Lending staff throughout the loan process.
• Assist with collecting, reviewing, and organizing financial and collateral information.
• Input and maintain loan information within bank systems for documentation and underwriting purposes.
• Coordinate with Credit Analysts, Loan Officers, and Loan Operations to prepare and process loan documentation.
• Assist with loan closings and funding activities.
• Monitor collateral documentation and ensure liens are recorded and maintained.
• Scan, index, and maintain loan files in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide administrative support to lending staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting, reviewing, and organizing financial and collateral information.

• Manage tickler and exception documentation while following up on outstanding items.
• Scan, index, and maintain loan files in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide administrative support to lending staff.
• Promote accuracy, compliance, and exceptional customer service throughout the lending process.
