Job summary

Cargill is seeking a facility operator to loadout and unload bulk materials, operate related equipment, and ensure accurate data entry and inventory control. The role emphasizes safe, compliant operations and teamwork across shifts.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions, and perform physical tasks, with overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

  • US work authorization without visa sponsorship.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to problem solve independently.
  • Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Able to perform physical duties up to 50 lbs and use PPE.
  • Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma or GED or 3 years equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment for bulk material loadout/unloading (trucks/rail).
  • Create scale tickets, collect samples, supervise inventory, and input data.
  • Inspect facilities and perform light maintenance planning.
  • Solve issues independently with minimal guidance.
  • Collaborate with peers, management, merchants, and customers to improve operations.
  • Take initiative and escalate issues as needed.
  • Provide high level customer service and adhere to policies.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Operating equipment associated with the loadout and unloading process for bulk materials including trucks and/or rail cars, utilizing scales, pumps, conveyors, and mobile equipment
  • Creating scale tickets, collecting product samples, and supervising tank inventory, utilizing computer systems to input and record data as necessary
  • Inspecting buildings, grounds, and equipment utilized by the facility to perform light maintenance and repair work; determine immediate and long range needs for maintenance and repair work
  • Solve issues independently with minimal guidance
  • Interacting regularly with peers, management, merchants, and customers to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork focused environment
  • Taking initiative in making decisions within your scope and escalating other issues to your supervisor or manager
  • Providing a high level of customer service
  • Understanding and adhering to all policies and procedures
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to independently problem solve and resolve issues within the scope of your role
  • Must be able to learn computer software programs such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, and SAP
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above), via ladders and/or stairs
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with advance notice
  • Must have very good time management skills
  • Must be able to manage multiple processes simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and possess follow-up skills
  • Must have high attention to detail
  • Must have High school diploma/GED or a minimum of three years equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems
  • Experience working in a production related environment
  • Experience in Truck / Rail car loading / unloading
