Job summary

Harvard Protection Services is seeking a Security - Loading Dock Officer to oversee the secure and efficient operation of loading docks at client locations in Manhattan. You will manage deliveries, monitor inbound and outbound traffic, and ensure compliance with security protocols and site procedures.

The role requires a High School Diploma, a valid security license, and 1–2 years of security experience, preferably with logistics or dock responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid state-mandated security officer license or ability to obtain one.
• 1–2 years of security experience, preferably with logistics or dock-related responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional demeanor with vendors, employees, tenants and visitors.
• Monitor and control access to loading docks and adjacent areas.
• Greet and verify delivery personnel, vendors and contractors.
• Patrol dock zones to deter theft or unauthorized activity.
• Answer calls and manage dock-related communication.
• Enforce dock policies and procedures.
• Inspect outgoing deliveries for authorized removal.
• Monitor security systems and alarms at dock areas.
• Prepare incident and activity reports as required.
• Follow emergency protocols and support evacuations.
