Qualifications

• Valid state-mandated security officer license or ability to obtain one.
• 1–2 years of security experience, preferably with logistics/dock responsibilities.
• Reliable transportation and effective communication skills.

• Ability to write routine reports and logs accurately.
• Familiarity with security systems and access control devices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to loading docks and adjacent areas to ensure only authorized personnel enter.
• Greet and verify delivery personnel, vendors, and contractors at the loading dock.
• Maintain visibility and patrol dock zones to deter theft or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to calls and manage communications related to dock operations.
• Enforce policies and procedures within established guidelines.
• Inspect outgoing deliveries to ensure authorized removal of property.
• Monitor security systems and alarms related to dock areas.
• Prepare incident and activity reports as required.
