Job summary

Harvard Protection Services is seeking a Security Loading Dock Officer to oversee secure, efficient dock operations at client sites. You will manage deliveries, monitor traffic, and ensure adherence to security protocols and site procedures.

Requirements include a high school diploma, a valid security license (or ability to obtain), and 1–2 years of security experience. The role runs Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm, at US-NY-Manhattan, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid state security officer license or ability to obtain one.
• 1-2 years security experience, preferably with dock or logistics.
• Reliable transportation and strong communication abilities.
• Professional appearance and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to loading docks and adjacent areas.
• Greet and verify delivery personnel, vendors, and contractors.
• Maintain a visible presence and patrol dock zones to deter activity.
• Answer calls and manage dock operation communications.
• Enforce dock policies and procedures within guidelines.
• Inspect deliveries for authorized removal of property.
• Monitor security systems and dock alarms.
• Prepare incident and activity reports as required.
• Follow emergency protocols and assist evacuations if needed.
