Job summary

Harvard Protection Services in Manhattan is seeking a Security Loading Dock Officer to oversee secure and efficient dock operations at client sites. You will manage deliveries, monitor inbound and outbound traffic, and enforce security protocols specific to each location.

The role requires a high school diploma, valid security license or ability to obtain one, and 1–2 years in security with dock-related experience. Excellent communication and report-writing skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional demeanor while assisting vendors, employees, tenants, and visitors.
• Monitor and control access to client loading docks and adjacent areas, ensuring only authorized personnel are permitted entry.
• Greet and verify delivery personnel, vendors, and contractors entering the loading dock area.
• Maintain a visible presence and patrol assigned dock zones to deter theft, vandalism, or unauthorized activity.
• Answer incoming calls and manage communication related to dock operations.
• Enforce building and loading dock policies and procedures within established guidelines.
• Inspect outgoing deliveries to ensure authorized removal of property.
• Monitor security systems and alarms related to dock areas.
• Prepare incident and activity reports as required.
• Follow established emergency protocols and support evacuation procedures if needed.

Job Summary:
