Job summary

Chief Buildings Plant in Grand Island, NE is seeking a dependable warehouse/assembly team member for the 2nd shift (4:30pm–3:00am). You will support packaging, loading, and material handling, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include inspecting and labeling finished products, operating forklifts and cranes, and using hand tools. High school diploma or GED preferred; previous manufacturing experience is a plus. Eligible for full benefits.

Qualifications

• Proficient in operating forklifts and overhead cranes per job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supports the packaging process by inspecting, labeling, and preparing finished products for shipment.

• Operates forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment safely.
• Uses a digital camera to document each completed load.
• Interprets fabrication drawings to assist with lifting methods and weight calculations.

Supports the packaging process by inspecting, labelling, and preparing finished products for shipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carries out responsibilities with safety and efficiency as a priority. Prioritizes the well-being of colleagues and actively contributes to the safety program by collaborating, sharing ideas, and voicing concerns. Adheres to training guidelines, policies, and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Proactively identifies and addresses potential hazards.
• Assists in loading and/or working from trailers at heights up to 14 feet with fall protection.
• Responsible for safely pulling and backing trailers into bays using a shag truck; training provided.
• Uses a digital camera to obtain photos of each completed load to be uploaded into customers’ files.
• Ability to use nail guns, crowbars, and hammers.
• Demonstrates strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to meet tight deadlines. Proficient in interpreting fabrication drawings to calculate weights and determine appropriate lifting methods. Possesses solid math skills, including working with decimals and fractions.
• Operates forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment to safely and efficiently transport materials as required.
• Capable of working independently or as a team with minimum supervision.

Shift:

• 2nd Shift - 4:30pm - 3:00am

Education:

• High School Diploma, or GED, preferred.
