Description

Performs general machine operation, including set- up equipment, processing parts, and final part inspection on various assigned equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carries out responsibilities with safety and efficiency as a priority. Prioritizes the well-being of colleagues and actively contributes to the safety program by collaborating, sharing ideas, and voicing concerns. Adheres to training guidelines, policies, and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Proactively identifies and addresses potential hazards.
• Inspects product for dust, oil, rust and other residue prior to painting.
• Maintain compliance to all quality control procedures and standards.
• Perform routine maintenance of assigned machines.
• Comfortably and safely lift up to 70 pounds.
• Operates forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment to safely and efficiently transport materials as required.
• Capable of working independently or as a team with minimum supervision

Shift:

• 1st Shift - 6:00am - 4:30pm

Education:

• High School Diploma, or GED, required.

Qualifications

Experience

Preferred

Familiarity with metal fabrication and the ability to read shop drawings is helpful but not required- training will be provided for the right candidate.

Strong math skills are essential.

Basic understanding of hand tools such as tape measures, squares and protractors is preferred.
