Job summary

Texas Materials, a CRH Company, is seeking an Equipment Operator to operate a variety of heavy equipment on groundwork and construction projects across Texas. The role emphasizes safety, daily inspections, and collaboration with foremen to meet project goals.

Candidates should have 1-2 years of related experience or training and the ability to read project documents. A CDL and valid DOT medical card are preferred assets.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of equipment operation and basic maintenance.
• Familiarity with construction methods and materials.
• Ability to read blueprints and project documents.
• Adherence to safety procedures and OSHA/MSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow all company policies and safety regulations.
• Report problems to Foreman/Safety Manager as needed.
• Follow daily tasks as directed by Foreman for each project.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance on equipment.
• Complete daily pre- and post-inspections with documentation.
• Assist in training less-experienced workers.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
