Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, is seeking a Loader Operator (Giddings) focused on environmental health and safety compliance and sustainability. The role involves developing compliance strategies, coordinating with management, and overseeing investigations and permit processes to meet regulatory requirements.

The position emphasizes training, risk assessment, and cross-functional collaboration with maintenance and engineering to ensure safe, compliant operations at the Phoenix, AZ site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in science field preferred, plus related experience or training in EH&S functions.
• Ability to lead, coach, mentor and solve problems across levels of the organization.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and interpret safety procedures and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental projects including scheduling, tracking and planning for assessments and remedial actions.
• Develop compliance strategies to meet regulatory requirements and industry guidelines.
• Interpret data to ensure regulatory compliance and advise management accordingly.
• Coordinate workers' compensation processes with Management, HR and carriers and handle investigations.
• Develop and implement air, land, and water pollution monitoring plans and operate related equipment.
