Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in heavy equipment operation preferred.
• 3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction setting.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse crews.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to work extended hours, with potential weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate loaders to move materials, earth, and other heavy objects.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.
• Communicate with crew members and subcontractors to meet schedules and budgets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with crew and subcontractors to align with project deadlines.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and safety procedures are followed.
• Identify and resolve issues that arise on construction projects.
• Work in tight areas and multi-task; coordinate with pipe/other crews.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
