Zachry Construction Corporation is seeking an experienced Loader Operator to safely operate a loader for subgrade and roadway material handling. The role supports plant operations and dirt work while upholding safety standards and company procedures.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in heavy equipment, with loader proficiency and a focus on teamwork. Candidates should be able to work on uneven terrain, perform pre-shift inspections, and maintain equipment readiness on site.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience operating heavy equipment, including loaders.
• Proficient in loader operation for material handling and site prep.
• Physical ability to walk on uneven terrain and climb equipment ladders.
• Knowledge of general construction and equipment safety procedures.
• Experience with other heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, or dozers preferred.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work well in a team.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors to improve skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a loader to move, load, and distribute subgrade and roadway materials.
• Support plant operations and general dirt work as assigned.
• Follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct pre-shift inspections and report maintenance needs or issues.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and ensure proper functionality.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to coordinate material flow.
• Perform tasks requiring extended periods of sitting, walking, or standing.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
