Job summary

Zachry Construction Corporation is seeking an experienced Loader Operator to safely and efficiently operate a loader for plant and general dirt work operations. The Loader Operator will move and load subgrade and roadway materials, support production, and ensure work is performed to company standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 4 years of heavy equipment experience, including loaders, and a solid focus on safety, site preparation, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience operating heavy equipment, including loaders.
• Proficient in loader operation for material handling, subgrade work, and site preparation.
• Physical ability to perform assigned tasks, including walking on uneven terrain and climbing equipment ladders.
• Knowledge of general construction and equipment safety procedures.
• Experience with other heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, or dozers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a loader to move, load, and distribute various subgrade and roadway materials.
• Support plant operations and general dirt work as assigned.
• Follow all required company and project safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct pre-shift inspections and report maintenance needs or equipment issues.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and ensure proper functionality.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to coordinate material flow.
• Perform tasks requiring extended periods of sitting, walking, or standing.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
