Job summary

Zachry Underground & Utility Services, a division of Zachry Construction Corporation, is seeking an experienced Loader Operator to support water and sewer construction projects. You will operate a large wheeled loader, assist with excavation, bedding placement, and trench backfill while following safety rules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of loader experience on trenching projects.
• Experience moving materials in utility-type sites with open trenches.
• Backfilling pipe experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation to job sites.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in variable conditions.
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate loader equipment safely under supervision.
• Load, unload, and transport materials with loader or forks.
• Move bedding and backfill material into trenches.
• Identify and report hazards to supervisor.
• Load trucks safely and coordinate with crew.
• Communicate with crew using signals while operating equipment.
• Work days, nights, and weekends as required.
• Follow all safety rules and company policies.
• Perform other labor duties as assigned.
