Job summary

Preferred Materials - Concrete Division, part of CRH, seeks a Loader Operator to safely load and transport building materials in Florida. You will operate loaders and forklifts, perform safety inspections, and maintain accurate loading quality while complying with OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate, understand, and follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment.
• Ability to perform manual labor and adjacent job responsibilities as required.
• Must be willing to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays when necessary.
• Must pass pre-employment requirements, drug screen, criminal background check and driving record review.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives building materials equipment within the yard/plant as directed.
• Properly conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment.
• Safely operates loaders and forklifts to transport materials.
• Ensures the quality and accuracy of product being loaded and delivered.
• Climbs in and out of equipment safely with 3-points of contact.
• Shovels rock, sand, and other materials manually as needed.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area and equipment.
• May travel and work from other company facilities as needed.
