About the Role

Holcim US, a major construction materials producer, is recruiting a full-time Loader Operator for a new project in Texas City, TX. New hires will train in Port Arthur for a few weeks before starting in Texas City, with the project lasting 18 months.

The role involves performing maintenance, equipment operation, groundskeeping, and housekeeping tasks to maintain facilities and equipment.

What You'll Accomplish

1. Operate rubber-tired tractor-type vehicles with front-mounted hydraulically powered buckets or scoops to lift and transport bulk materials onto trucks.
2. Start engines, shift gears, operate levers to control the loader, and dump materials at work sites.
3. Follow instructions from the Foreman and adhere to safety and efficiency standards.
4. Perform routine maintenance such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning loaders.
5. Maintain effective communication with supervisors and clients.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.
7. Commit to health, safety, and environmental policies, promoting a safety culture.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related work experience.
• Strong mechanical skills and ability to use hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of company processes and procedures.
• Detail-oriented with multitasking ability.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.
• Valid driver’s license.

Additional Requirements

• Adherence to all safety protocols, including proper PPE use and fit testing for respirators (must be clean-shaven where the respirator seals).
