Job summary

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Loader Operator for our Clarksville, TN quarry to support a safety-focused culture in an underground mining environment. The role involves working with a team to load materials and transport to the primary crusher.

You should have 3-4 years of experience, a high school diploma or GED, and be able to work in varied outdoor conditions with strong communication skills. The position offers full-time employment with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years' experience in mining or loader operation.

• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety awareness and follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain mobile equipment according to company standards.
• Pre-shift equipment inspections and report safety defects.
• Learn to operate underground equipment, including loaders, haul trucks, scalers and bolters.
• Maintain clear communications with plant staff and other operators.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Loader Operator based out of our Clarksville, TN Quarry to support a positive safety culture in an aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. in our East Region. This role is responsible for working with a team to produce natural aggregates in a mining environment. Work in an underground setting haul loads of stone to the primary crusher.

Day to Day

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
• Comply with all industry safety rules, policies, procedures and applicable government regulations
• Maintain mobile equipment according to company standards.
• Be involved with maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Pre-shift equipment for safety defects and report them to a supervisor.
• Learn how to run other various underground equipment. Such as Loaders, Haul Trucks, Scalers and Bolters.
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned

About You

• 3-4 years' experience
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• Positive, Team-based attitude
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
• The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Working Conditions

While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
