Job Summary

This positionis responsible forthe pulling/picking and loading of all outbound shipments and unloading/movement of all inbound deliveries to the facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operates a propane sit-down forklift.
• Sort shipments for destination and group merchandise to be included with or fulfilled in an order.
• Loading of finished materials for transport and unloading of raw materials.
• Movingproductsto pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Inspectthe forklifttodeterminethe need for repairs and to guarantee safety.
• Verifypiececounts on each pallet andcomparestolabel.
• Material handling of all products.
• Followshippingwork orders.
• Other duties as assigned

RequiredKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Highly motivated with good sound work ethics.
• Mustdemonstratesafe working practices andpossessgreat attention to detail.
• Teamplayerable to follow instructions from management and peers.
• Ability to learn andoperatenew equipment.
• Ability to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers).
• Strong problem-solving skills and math skills with the capability to calculate square footage and batch size.

Education and Experience:

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent isrequired.
• Minimum of one (1) yearpreviousforklift experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Shipping and Receiving.

Working Conditions:

• Fast paced manufacturing environment, loading dock, and driveways. Will be working in all weather conditions.

This role is performed onsite at our facility located at 1005 Tonne Road, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007

As a Material Handler, you will be entitled to the following:

• An Hourly Rate for this position is $24.19
