Job summary

Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is seeking a Forklift Operator to support shipping, move and store materials, and assist warehouse operations on a 40-hour work week with occasional overtime.

You will perform pre-shift inspections, record metrics, and safely operate a propane sit-down forklift on the manufacturing floor. Ability to learn, communicate, and work with team is essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-shift forklift inspections.
  • Record preventative maintenance activities, quality inspection data, equipment downtime, production output and other key metrics.
  • Safely operate a propane sit-down forklift to move raw materials or finished products throughout the manufacturing floor.
  • Visually inspect material for quality defects; Segregate defective product and notify.
  • Fill dumpsters from production floor; Housekeeping of plant (inside and out).
  • Work as a team with production and shipping team to follow all facility Standard Works/processes and improve operations.
  • Support the recycling area, when needed, and help to keep it clean.
  • Fill in on other areas of the plant (e.g., Machine Operator) as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading supplier of building envelope solutions that effectively drive energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. Forklift Operators support shipping with the move & receiving of materials and products, including taking part in warehouse organizing and finished goods inspection, taking product off the production line and putting it away in designated locations in the warehouse, loading and unloading customer trucks.

Standard work week 40 hours a week with occasional overtime, no travel required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Highly motivated with a good, sound work

Education and Experience:
  • Required:
    • High School Diploma or GED is Preferred

Working Conditions:
  • Fast paced manufacturing environment where workers are exposed to both ambient/outside temperatures and dust; working with mechanical parts and pinch points; exposure to increased noise levels.
