Job summary

Penske Logistics in Gainesville, GA is seeking a Load Planner to coordinate freight movement and customer service. You will process orders, plan and optimize shipments using Transportation Manager System, tender freight to carriers, and update the TMS with shipment details while answering internal and external inquiries.

You will provide visibility to management and customers by tracking shipments, auditing processes, and troubleshooting issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1+ year experience in Transportation/Supply Chain preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn and operate multiple computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Load-building, rating loads, securing carrier coverage, and setting appointments.
• Provide excellent customer service to assigned account(s).
• Handle call center and shared email box responsibilities.
• Provide shipment visibility to management and customer by tracking shipments and audits.
• Track shipments and investigate load issues.
• Complete daily logs and provide guidance to other shifts.
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
