Job summary

TLI - Transco Lines, Inc. is seeking a Load Planner in Arkansas to coordinate equipment utilization and ensure cost-effective, high-level service for customers.

The role requires balancing loads with available equipment and real-time communication of issues with shippers and receivers. Essential duties include maximizing profitability, coordinating with Customer Service Reps, and maintaining trailer pools while prioritizing safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or 5 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Knowledge of TMW Database software.

Responsibilities

• Maximize profitability and utilization of equipment within lane constraints and minimizing deadhead miles & increasing rate per mile.
• Interact with the Customer Service Reps for optimum load selection and communicate any potential issues affecting pickup and/or delivery.
• Maintain communication with Driver Managers and others to ensure quality customer service and driver productivity by understanding driver availability, hours of service issues, special requests or constraints.
• Manage and maintain trailer pools in all areas of responsibility and adjust pools to provide maximum trailer utilization.
• Communicate with Brokers regarding committed loads and any issues regarding broker freight.
