Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking a LNP Formulation Scientist for a San Diego, CA position. You will formulate and optimize LNPs encapsulating nucleic acids and execute DoE screening to optimize compositions and processing parameters.

You will characterize LNPs using DLS, zeta potential, Ribogreen, analyze data, maintain records, support scale-up and stability studies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet formulation requests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's with biopharma industry experience; 5+ years or 2+ years with master's.
• 2+ years hands-on LNP formulation experience with nucleic acid encapsulation.
• Experience with LNP characterization: DLS, zeta potential, Ribogreen assays.
• Strong Excel skills and high data integrity in documentation.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and optimize LNPs encapsulating nucleic acids.
• Execute DoE screening campaigns to evaluate LNP compositions and processing parameters.
• Characterize LNPs and interpret and present experimental results.
• Support early-stage formulation development, cryoprotection, scale-up, and stability studies.
• Maintain detailed lab records and support routine lab operations, including inventory and buffer prep.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill formulation requests.
