Job summary

TOTE Services is seeking an experienced LNG Tankerman PIC to lead LNG transfer and bunkering operations aboard vessels and at terminals. The role emphasizes safe handling, regulatory compliance, and detailed documentation of transfers.

The PIC will oversee pre-transfer meetings, monitor flow and pressure, and coordinate with crews and shore staff while maintaining the highest safety standards and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications

• Experience with LNG or petroleum transfer operations.
• Knowledge of hazardous material handling and safety procedures.
• Understanding of USCG, OSHA, and maritime regulations.
• Ability to work in high-risk environments with strict safety protocols.
• Strong communication and situational awareness.
• Willingness to work rotational schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve as PIC for LNG transfer and bunkering operations.
• Ensure compliance with USCG regs and safety procedures.
• Lead pre-transfer meetings, checklists, and safety briefings.
• Monitor transfer operations for safe flow, pressure, and emergency readiness.
• Coordinate with vessel crews, terminal operators, and shore staff.
• Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance of LNG systems.
• Respond to emergencies and execute proper shutdown procedures.
• Maintain logs, reports, and documentation for transfers.
• Promote safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility.
