Job summary

NextDecade is seeking a Director of Regulatory to lead federal regulatory authorizations for LNG facilities, including FERC, PHMSA, USCG, and DOE engagements. The role partners with Operations, HSSE, Engineering, Legal, and Project teams to ensure regulatory commitments are implemented during development, construction, and startup.

The position requires eight+ years of experience managing federal regulatory authorizations and a relevant bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and eight+ years managing federal regulatory authorizations.
• Experience supporting LNG facility development, construction, commissioning, startup, or expansion projects.
• Strong ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and translate regulatory requirements into actionable plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory strategy and interface with FERC, PHMSA, USCG, DOE and others.
• Oversee regulatory filings, amendments, and authorizations across project lifecycle.
• Coordinate construction/commissioning regulatory interactions and ensure compliance with permit conditions.
• Develop governance, guidance, and processes to implement regulatory commitments.
