LNG Project Finance Analyst

Job summary

Caturus, a Houston-based private exploration and production company, seeks an Analyst, Finance to join a small financing team supporting the Commonwealth LNG export project. You will build models, manage data rooms, and coordinate the financing process.

You will present financial analyses to leadership, lenders and investors, conduct due diligence, and help with budgeting and liquidity management, reporting to the VP, Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or similar degree.
• 2+ years of demonstrated relevant experience in investment banking or project financing.
• Analytics and financial modeling skills.
• Prior experience building new models from scratch.
• Modeling debt, proforma projections, financial statements, and valuations in Excel.
• Model various equity structures including equity waterfall.
• Understanding financing processes and data room management.
• Familiar with energy/LNG industry concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify and manipulate Excel models to inform decisions.
• Conduct monthly reviews to identify budgetary risks.
• Perform detailed financial analysis and cash flow modeling.
• Review draft documentation and reports for accuracy.
• Run due diligence with lenders, bankers and advisors.
• Summarize complex data for investors and executives.
• Review documents to identify commercial considerations.
• Analyze project data to produce reports.
• Support FP&A including budgeting and liquidity management.
