Job summary

Honeywell LNG seeks a Process Controls Engineer II to contribute to the design, testing, and validation of LNG process control systems. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop plant designs, control architectures, and testing plans, traveling 10–20% to support customer activities and startups.

You will review P&IDs, write control narratives, and implement robust control logic for PLC/DCS environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• 2+ years of experience as a Process or Process Controls Engineer in energy or oil & gas.
• 2+ years of proficiency in preparing controls narratives and logic diagrams.
• 2+ years of proficiency in reviewing and preparing P&IDs.
• Willingness to travel 10-20% to support customer activities in the US and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of the process control system scope for LNG project bids and equipment projects.
• Develop and review P&IDs, control narratives, logic diagrams, alarm philosophies, interlocks, and operating sequences.
• Define control system requirements and translate them into robust control logic and operator interfaces.
• Design and optimize advanced control strategies to improve operability and efficiency.
• Coordinate testing, FAT, and integrated system testing with project teams and programmers.
• Provide onsite startup, commissioning support, and performance monitoring.
• Deliver aftermarket training on control system operation and troubleshooting.
