Job summary

Freeport LNG seeks a Senior Process Control Engineer to design, implement, and optimize process control systems that improve safety, reliability, throughput, and production efficiency. You will provide technical support for SIS lifecycle, APC, and troubleshoot DCS/PLC/HMI systems.

Based in Freeport, TX, the role requires travel to facilities and a valid driver's license. Bachelor’s in Chemical or Electrical Engineering with 10+ years' LNG/process controls experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Electrical Engineering required.
• 10+ years of experience in instrumentation or process controls in LNG, petrochemical, or related heavy process industries.
• Proficiency with DCS and PLC configuration, programming and loop tuning.
• Hands-on expertise with process control and instrumented protective systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize process control systems to improve safety, reliability, throughput and production efficiency.
• Collaborate with operations and process engineering to drive process improvements and reduce variability.
• Develop and implement control strategies to improve plant stability and efficiency.
• Assist with deployment of APC applications to maximize plant throughput and energy efficiency.
• Conduct RCFA and support plant trip investigations.
• Provide technical support for capital projects involving instrumentation and controls.
