Job summary

Concord Hospital Health System is seeking a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role requires an NH LNA license, an LNA education certificate, and BLS certification.

High school or GED is preferred, with evidence of competency testing results as required by the NH Board of Nursing. The LNA will work as part of a team, supporting patient care and documentation in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• Proof of LNA Education Certificate and Final Report of Written and Clinical Competency Testing Results (NH Board of Nursing) required.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required or equivalent credentialed by American Heart Association.
• Current New Hampshire State LNA license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs activities of daily living and personal care needs under the guidance and supervision of the RN.
• Performs technical skills/procedures relating to physical, mental health and social needs of patients under the guidance and supervision of the RN.
• Documents care provided and reports to the RN observations of patient’s physical, social and mental status and basic patient data collected.
• Demonstrates adherence to safe patient handling policy.
• Demonstrates time management skills.
• Maintains the patient care areas to ensure cleanliness, safety and supplies of material and equipment.
• Receives delegated work adhering to the five rights of delegation.
• Performs job specific requirements and other duties as assigned.
• Serves as a preceptor for new employees.
