LNA/MNA – Part Time (24 hours/week; 3 p–11 p)

Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating and toileting to promote health and independence.
- Assist with mobility and functional nursing care as defined by the nursing care plan – transfers, ambulation, ROM, splint application, positioning, sit‑stand lifts, Hoyer lifts, and whirlpool.
- Develop professional relationships with residents, family members, co‑workers and supervisors to enable open communication based on mutual respect.
- Assist with assessments and treatment procedures defined by the State Nursing Practice Act and facility policy – TPR’s, BP’s, weights, specimen collection, skin care, O2 stats and O2.
- Follow Infection Control guidelines including Standard Precautions, handling of biohazardous materials and isolation techniques.
- Assist with care protocols for falls prevention, safety and elopement, behavior management, skin integrity, and bowel and bladder management; provide assistance/oversight with nutritional and hydration needs.
- Accept resident assignment and direction from the Nurse Leader; observe and report any change in physical or mental function; demonstrate awareness of shared responsibilities for resident care; contribute to overall facility needs during increased demand.
- Understand and follow established protocols regarding Resident Rights, Abuse reporting, HIPAA and emergency response.
- Encourage and assist residents in participating in social and recreational activities.
- Accurately document the level of care provided, including LNA flow sheets and all other required data collection.
Qualifications
- Active NH LNA License
- Prior experience working directly with senior citizens is strongly preferred
