Job description

Description

FAT Brands Inc is a leading global franchising company that develops and grows fast casual, quick-service, and casual dining concepts around the world — a portfolio of 12 brands, including Round Table Pizza®, Fatburger, Marble Slab Creamery, Johnny Rockets, Fazoli’s, Great American Cookies, Buffalo’s Cafe & Express, Hurricane Grill & Wings, Native Grill & Wings, Pretzelmaker, and Ponderosa and Bonanza Steakhouses, spanning more than 1,700 units worldwide.

The LMS Content Manager owns the health and accuracy of everything living on the new LMS — auditing existing content, identifying what's outdated or missing, and generating the requests that drive Instructional Design's build queue. With a brand-new platform and a large volume of migrated and legacy content, this role is the gatekeeper between "what's on the LMS" and "what should be on the LMS." This role also directly manages priorities against the content backlog and produced consistently across brands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct a full audit of all content migrated to or built on the new LMS — courses, job aids, videos, quizzes, certifications — cataloging what exists, its accuracy, and its last review date
  • Assess migrated legacy content specifically for relevance and correctness, since content built for the old platform may not reflect current standards, brands, or procedures
  • Maintain a master content inventory/tracker as the single source of truth for what's live, what's outdated, and what's missing
  • Own the intake and prioritization process for content update and creation requests, translating identified gaps or outdated material into clear, scoped requests for the Instructional Design team
  • Build a standard request format (what's wrong, why it matters, urgency, affected brands) so content is built correctly
  • Track requests through to completion, closing the loop between "gap identified" and "content fixed"
  • Identify content gaps by brand, role, and topic — where training doesn't exist, is inconsistent across brands, or doesn't reflect current OEF/brand standards
  • Prioritize the content backlog based on business impact (compliance risk, certification blockers, franchisee-facing confusion)
  • Flag content that's duplicated or conflicting across brands where consolidation would reduce confusion
  • Review content before publication (new and updated) for accuracy, consistency with Ops Manuals and brand standards, and basic instructional quality
  • Establish and run a recurring content review cadence so nothing goes stale silently again
  • Partner with the Ops Manuals & Brand Standards Manager to ensure LMS content and manual content stay aligned as both get updated
  • Serve as the point of contact for brand leads, Field Training, and Guest Experience when they notice content that's wrong, missing, or out of date
  • Partner with Instructional Design on capacity planning — surfacing the size and priority of the backlog so build resourcing decisions are made with full visibility
  • Support the LMS migration effort directly during the initial rollout period, given the volume of legacy content requiring review
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • 3+ years in training content management, content operations, curriculum management, or instructional design, ideally in a multi‑unit restaurant, retail, or franchise environment
  • Experience auditing or managing a large content library, ideally through a platform migration or consolidation
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working through high volumes of content systematically
  • Ability to translate vague or informally‑reported problems ("this training video is outdated") into clear, actionable requests
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms and content structures (SCORM/xAPI a plus, not required)
  • Comfortable working cross‑functionally without direct authority over the teams who execute the requests
  • Some travel required (10–15%) for field feedback gathering on content accuracy
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
