CITGO Petroleum Corporation's Lemont Refinery in Illinois is seeking a Heavy Craft Technician for on-site work. You will operate mobile equipment and perform equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance and basic tasks in a refinery environment.

Job Summary

This positions in on-site at the CITGO Lemont Refinery, Lemont, Illinois.

Heavy Craft Technician - Candidates will work in a refinery environment operating mobile equipment and performing equipment maintenance tasks. They will also perform fixed equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance and basic maintenance tasks.

Pay Range: $44.23 - $51.67/hour.

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic Maintenance Skills
• Must understand:
  • mechanical drawings
  • basic shop equipment.
  • basic piping fundamentals.
  • basic hydrotesting of piping and equipment.
  • basic valve maintenance.
• Must understand and be able to use precision measuring devices.
• Must be able to:
  • operate overhead davits and cranes.
  • remove replace vacuum breakers/rupture discs.
  • work in a refinery environment.
  • work outdoors, climb, and wear SCBA
• Must possess the ability to make correct decisions concerning the safety of plant personnel and protection of plant equipment
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Valid Driver's License
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Eligibility

Candidates with the following qualifications are strongly preferred:

• 5+ years of Industrial Maintenance experience.
• Class A CDL
• Fork Truck Certified
• Carry Deck Certified
• Crane Certified (Up to 60 ton crane)
