Job summary

CITGO Lemont Refinery in Lemont, Illinois is seeking a Heavy Craft Technician to operate mobile equipment and perform equipment maintenance in a refinery setting.

Candidates will carry out preventive and basic maintenance on fixed equipment, read mechanical drawings, use precision measuring devices, and comply with safety standards. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and TWIC eligibility is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic maintenance skills and ability to read mechanical drawings.
• Familiarity with piping fundamentals and hydrotesting.
• Ability to use precision measuring devices and operate cranes.
• Candidates should be able to work outdoors in refinery environments and wear SCBA when needed.

Job Summary

This positions in on-site at the CITGO Lemont Refinery, Lemont, Illinois.

Heavy Craft Technician - Candidates will work in a refinery environment operating mobile equipment and performing equipment maintenance tasks. They will also perform fixed equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance and basic maintenance tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic Maintenance Skills
• mechanical drawings
• basic shop equipment.

• basic valve maintenance.
• Must understand and be able to use precision measuring devices.
• Must be able to:
  • operate overhead davits and cranes.
  • remove replace vacuum breakers/rupture discs.
  • work in a refinery environment.
  • work outdoors, climb, and wear SCBA
• Must possess the ability to make correct decisions concerning the safety of plant personnel and protection of plant equipment
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Valid Driver's License
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential(TWIC) Eligibility

Candidates with the following qualifications are strongly preferred:

• 5+ years of Industrial Maintenance experience.
• Class A CDL
• Fork Truck Certified
• Carry Deck Certified
• Crane Certified (Up to 60 ton crane)
