Qualifications

• Associate degree in veterinary technology, biomedical science, animal science or a related area, or any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• Two years of technical experience in veterinary medicine, including clinical mixed or large animal care.
• Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
• Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and billing entry.

Responsibilities

• Daily observation and documentation of farm animals, assisting with examinations and procedures, maintaining the electronic medical record, and preparing animals for surgical procedures.
• Obtain weights and vital signs, document patient history, and maintain inventory and clean, stocked treatment areas.
• Participate in research projects and assist in training staff and engaging with students, ranchers, and other customers.
