Job summary

Women & Infants, part of Care New England Health System, seeks a Providence Center Peer Recovery Specialist to provide peer support and advocacy within a multidisciplinary team in Rhode Island.

Responsibilities include holistic assessments, group leadership, resource navigation, and precise documentation to sustain recovery. With a strong focus on client dignity, you will work across community settings and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of lived experience with substance use and/or mental health disorders.
• Experience accessing community resources (housing, medical, financial, etc.).
• CPRS certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess client needs using a holistic approach across medical, vocational, educational, and recovery domains.
• Provide peer-based support and interventions for symptoms, coping, and relapse prevention.
• Coordinate services to promote recovery and self-advocacy within a multidisciplinary team.
• Lead client-focused groups on life skills, resources, and advocacy.
• Maintain accurate documentation per regulatory standards and confidentiality.
