Job summary

Fox Sports is seeking a StudentU Coordinator in Chicago to oversee the live production operations for the B1G+ platform, guiding student crews and freelance quality control operators to meet Big Ten Network standards for more than 2,000 events annually.

You will train volunteers, schedule shifts, troubleshoot remote broadcasts, and collaborate with programming, streaming and social teams to highlight top plays and ensure smooth coverage across all games.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of prior experience overseeing live sports productions.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of typical broadcast equipment (switcher, replay, graphics, cameras) and ability to troubleshoot remotely

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily function of the B1G+ Operations Center, ensuring broadcasts go on air and reviewing feedback to students.
• Develop and conduct regular training for quality control operators on Big Ten Network and B1G+ standards.
• Assist in scheduling quality control shifts and assigning games to ensure proper coverage for all StudentU productions.
• Create training manuals and documents to help students understand and meet production standards.
• Work remotely with university staff and students to troubleshoot issues during live broadcasts.
• Collaborate with programming, streaming, social media and other departments to ensure smooth end-to-end communication for games on B1G+ and highlight top plays.
• Travel to campuses to provide hands-on training and support.
