Job summary

Hubbard Saint Louis is seeking a Board Operator to manage live and satellite-delivered content, ensuring all preplanned broadcast components run smoothly. You’ll set up, operate and maintain electronic equipment used to transmit programs.

The role requires managing audio quality, monitoring systems, and sometimes going on-air during emergencies. FCC rules knowledge and the ability to adapt to changing schedules are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; 1 year radio board experience preferred.
• Capable of responding to crises and handling last-minute changes.
• Communicate quickly and clearly with coworkers and callers.
• Hear and speak clearly; follow oral and written directions.

Responsibilities

• Run the board during live/recorded programs, selecting music, features, billboards and ads.
• Operate and troubleshoot switcher and radio equipment used in broadcasts.
• Ensure audio quality and levels; monitor monitors and logs.
• Go on-air to report emergencies when required; record or edit sound as needed.
• Answer calls and screen calls; manage automation and transmitter controls.
