Salem Media Group Minneapolis is seeking a Board Operator to support live broadcasts and production for our four station cluster.

This flexible, part-time role offers ~10–15 hours per week across 2-3 days, ideal for students and radio enthusiasts who want hands-on experience with live boards, voice tracking, and on-air weather updates, including overnight shifts and weekend work.

You’ll learn from seasoned pros while gaining access to studio time and production opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Windows-based computer systems.
• College education preferred, but not required — passion and skill matter most.
• Flexibility for overnight shifts and weekends.
• Proven reliability with attention to detail and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Produce live and recorded radio and video programs and podcasts.
• Deliver live on-air weather updates with confidence.
• Record voice tracks for other programming.
• Operate and engineer the live broadcast boards, keeping shows smooth and professional.
• Execute station formats to keep our listeners engaged.
• Maintain accurate program logs, edit live spots, and handle various production and commercial audio tasks.
