Hubbard Saint Louis is seeking a Board Operator to manage live and syndicated broadcasts, ensuring accurate setup, operation, and maintenance of broadcast equipment. You will follow the program log, monitor audio levels, and be ready to go on-air for emergencies as needed.

Responsibilities include running the board, troubleshooting gear, editing or replaying audio, and producing news segments while maintaining strict adherence to FCC policies and internal procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; radio board experience preferred.
• Ability to respond quickly to crises and changes during shifts.
• Clear communication to coworkers and on-air performers.

Responsibilities

• Run the board for live or recorded programs and insert music, features, billboards and ads.
• Operate and troubleshoot switcher and radio equipment during broadcasts.
• Maintain sound quality and monitor levels for consistent audio.
• Follow program log and ensure systems run on schedule.
• Go on-air when required to report emergencies and life‑threatening situations.
• Record, edit or replay sounds as requested; produce news features as needed.
• Screen calls, monitor automation, transmitter controls, and log issues.
• Comply with FCC rules and company policies; adapt to schedule changes.
