Job summary

University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT seeks an Area Coordinator for Residential Life & Housing. This live-on, full-time role supports student success, supervises up to 17 RAs, oversees programming, and participates in on-call crisis response.

The AC reports to the Director of Residential Life and collaborates with Public Safety, Counseling Services, and Student Health Services. Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree in a related field and have prior campus housing experience, conflict

Qualifications

Master's degree in a relevant field.
Two years’ experience working on a college campus as a student or employee.
Two years’ experience in Residence Life as a student or employee.
Evidence of mediation, intervention, conflict management and problem solving in a residential setting.

Responsibilities

Supervise, mentor, train, and evaluate up to seventeen undergraduate RAs.
Oversight of departmental programming and support Division Programming Efforts.
Oversee Resident Assistant programming including approval and purchasing/advertising needs.
Create and implement a bi-annual RA Training schedule and host training sessions.
Participate in the on-call duty rotation and respond to emergencies and critical incidents.
