Job summary

The University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT is seeking an Area Coordinator for Residential Life & Housing to lead a team of up to 17 undergraduate Resident Assistants and oversee residence life programs.

As a full-time, live-on staff member, you will manage on-call crisis response, coordinate training, and collaborate with campus partners to support student success and housing operations across campuses, including off-campus housing properties.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in social work, higher education, education or counseling.
• Two years’ experience on a college campus as student or employee.
• Two years’ experience in Residence Life as student or employee.
• Experience with mediation, intervention, conflict management and problem solving in a residential setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate up to 17 undergraduate RAs and schedule trainings.
• Oversee departmental programming and RA programming alignment.
• Serve on-call rotation for crisis response and emergency situations.
• Manage Student Conduct per Code of Conduct and Housing Contract using Maxient.
• Provide customer service to students, parents, and constituents.
• Assist in Housing Selection, Break Closings, and Departmental Programs.
• Participate in university committees and staff development.
